In our previous tutorials, we have talked about all of the types of wagers. These are the wagers that you can see in your bookie software. If you truly want to learn how to be a bookie, then you need to understand all the wagers your players can make. As we have discussed most of the different types of wagers, we’ll now talk about In-Play, or live betting.

In Play betting is now one of the most popular wagers you can see in sportsbooks today. The popularity of live betting is also increasing in different betting markets across the world. It is, after all, one of the most exciting wagers you can make.

Types of Wagers: In Play Wagers

The Different Types of Wagers: Part IVIn Play betting is basically wagers made while a game is in progress. This means that the markets remain active. And, of course, the odds can change quickly during the game. But, this also means that players can change their mind during a play, and switch to different teams, players, or outcome.

For example, if you bet on the Lakers to win a game against the Heat, then you are locked in with the odds your players wagered with. If the score shows a huge gap in the score, then the odds will shift to address this. Your players will have missed out on the odds. As a bookie, you will need to be quick about adjusting your lines, so that if anything changes, you will be ready, and will have minimized risk in your sportsbook.

So, when you look at your bookie pay per head software, you need not worry. The software service provides you with line management, which makes it easy for you to check the lines and adjust as needed. Meaning, you just need to focus on seeing the wagers on your lines, and balance the line as needed.
