Indiana sportsbooks are on a roll. For the third month in a row, the state’s betting industry reports a new total monthly handle record at $463.7 million. Many in the pay per head services sector believe that this will only continue to grow, and that we may see Indiana set new records in the months to come. Local bookies agree.

Indiana Sportsbooks: Numbers are Growing
The $463.7 million handle for November gives us a whopping 84.4% year-on-year increase in betting from November 2020’s $251.4 million. So far, we have $3.4 billion worth of wagers for Indiana this 2021. This results in $419.2 million in revenue for the year so far. This is the first time that the states has crossed the $3 billion mark in its year-to-date numbers as well. If the state’s sportsbooks continue to do well, they could double the previous year’s $1.8 billion in total annual handle this year.
Historically, football takes in the highest action during December and January. This could help increase the volume of wagers that we are currently seeing. For college sports, we have basketball and football. For professional sports, we have the NBA and the NHL generating a lot of action.
